Moongems can be created in 1 of 5 subsurface regions of the Moon. Depending on the Space Laser charge and orbital position, the beam will penetrate the surface and attain various qualities that make it unique.
The Rare Moongems will form in the Upper Mantle, if you’re lucky, the beam will penetrate even lower and hit the Middle Mantle creating a Super Rare Moongem. Penetrating each subsurface gets harder, until you reach the almost impossible to reach Solid Core, where you will find Legendary Moongems no one has ever seen before.
